Central Visayan Conference Women: Leading the Charge for Health and Wellness through CAYMA
The women of the Central Visayan Conference, inspired by the spirit of service and compassion that defines our Seventh-day Adventist faith, are stepping forward to lead the charge for health and wellness within our communities. Through TEAM SARAH, the Women’s Ministry Group, they are playing a pivotal role in equipping volunteer organizers, training group leaders, and ministry partners for the successful activation of the Children and Youth Ministries Association (CAYMA) in barangays across the Philippines.
Empowering Communities Through Faith-Based Action
Rooted in our commitment to holistic health – mind, body, and spirit – TEAM SARAH is dedicated to providing the resources and training needed to make a lasting impact. Their focus on comprehensive health and wellness promotion is directly aligned with the goals of Project TAPACAN, APIHEP ONLINE, and the BZP101 Blue Zone Project, ensuring that our communities thrive in every aspect of life.
Training for Transformation: A Ministry of Service
TEAM SARAH understands that effective change begins with well-equipped leaders. They are actively organizing and facilitating training events that empower individuals to effectively implement CAYMA initiatives, drawing upon the strength and dedication of women within our local churches. These events focus on:
- Volunteer Organizer Training: Providing practical skills in community organizing, recruitment, and project management, empowering volunteers to build strong support networks for CAYMA within their local congregations and neighborhoods.
- Training Group Leader Development: Equipping individuals with leadership skills, conflict resolution techniques, and effective communication strategies, enabling them to guide and motivate CAYMA members in their respective barangays with faith-based principles.
- Ministry Partner Engagement: Fostering collaboration and partnership between CAYMA and other ministries, organizations, and community stakeholders, building bridges and creating a unified approach to health and wellness promotion that reflects our Adventist values.
Integrating Adventist Principles with Key Programs
TEAM SARAH’s training events also emphasize the integration of Adventist principles with key programs:
- Project TAPACAN: Educating participants on the dangers of cigarettes, alcohol, and narcotics, reinforcing our church’s commitment to healthy living and abstinence.
- APIHEP ONLINE: Promoting the use of online resources for health education, expanding access to vital information and empowering individuals to make informed choices.
- BZP101 Blue Zone Project: Introducing the principles of Blue Zones and providing practical tips for adopting healthy lifestyles, promoting longevity, and improving overall well-being, aligning with our belief in the importance of physical and spiritual health.
A Call to Action for the Women of the Central Visayan Conference
We encourage the women of the Central Visayan Conference and our local Seventh-day Adventist churches to embrace this opportunity to serve as catalysts for change within our communities. By participating in TEAM SARAH’s training events and supporting CAYMA’s initiatives, we can collectively create a healthier, more vibrant future for the Philippines, grounded in faith, service, and a commitment to holistic well-being.
